Privacy policy

Last updated August 21, 2026

This policy describes what Glimera Electronics LLC ("Glimera", "we") collects through glimeraelectronics.com and through Glimera hardware and the Glimera portal, and what we do with it. We wrote it to be read, not skimmed.

The website

The website is static. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from third parties. Fonts are served from our own domain. The pricing calculator runs in your browser and sends nothing anywhere. The only data we receive from the site is what you choose to send us by email or phone.

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, user agent, pages requested, timestamps) for security and capacity purposes. We do not use these logs to identify individual visitors.

Machine data collected by the reader

The Glimera reader collects meter and event data from the amusement machine it is installed in: cash in, cash out, tickets out, games played, door open and close, power events, and the machine identity needed to match events to the right machine. This data does not identify players. It contains no card numbers, names, or personal information of anyone who uses the machine.

Machine data belongs to the operator whose account the reader is registered to. We process it to provide the portal: storing it, reconciling it, showing it on the dashboard, and exporting it on request. We do not sell it, share it with other operators, or use it for advertising.

Account data

To run the portal we keep the operator's business contact details, login credentials (stored hashed), location names and addresses as entered by the operator, and billing records. Store logins see only their own store. Owner-level logins see the whole route.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit between the router and Glimera, and between Glimera and your browser. The link between reader and router is encrypted. The router creates an isolated network that only Glimera hardware can join and never has access to the store's own network.

Retention and deletion

Machine data is retained for as long as the account is active, and for 90 days after it closes so the operator can complete a final export. The operator can export the full history at any time as CSV. On written request after an account closes, we delete our copy.

Your rights

If you believe we hold information about you, you may ask what it is, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to our legal obligations. Write to the address below.

Children

The site and the service are intended for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will post the new version here with a new date.
