Terms of service

These terms govern your use of glimeraelectronics.com and your purchase and use of Glimera hardware and the Glimera portal from Glimera Electronics LLC ("Glimera", "we"). By ordering hardware or opening a portal account you agree to them.

Hardware

• Readers are sold per machine and routers per location. Prices are confirmed on your order.
• Hardware ships configured to your account. Title passes to you on delivery.
• Hardware carries a one-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. A defective unit is replaced with a unit configured for the same slot. The warranty does not cover damage from misuse, moisture, power faults at the site, or modification.
• Compatibility is confirmed before shipping. If you tell us what port your cabinet exposes, or send a photo, and we confirm it, we stand behind that confirmation. Cabinets we have not confirmed are not covered.

The portal

• The portal is billed per machine, per month, for each machine that reported during that month. There is no contract, no minimum term, and no setup fee. You may stop at any time.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for the people you give store-level or owner-level access to.
• We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee it. Readers store events locally during outages and backfill when the link returns.

What the product does and does not do

The reader reads meter and event data from a machine's SAS accounting port against a fixed allowlist of read commands. It does not issue transfers, enable or disable a machine, write to it, affect gameplay, or handle money. You are responsible for operating your machines in compliance with the laws and licensing rules that apply to you, including confirming that installing a reader on a given machine is permitted in your jurisdiction.

Your data

Meter and event data collected from your machines belongs to you. We process it to provide the service as described in our privacy policy. You can export it at any time.

Acceptable use

You may not attempt to modify Glimera firmware, connect non-Glimera devices to a Glimera router's network, resell the service, or use it to collect data from machines you do not own or have authority over.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Glimera's total liability arising from the hardware or the service is limited to the amounts you paid to Glimera in the twelve months before the claim. Glimera is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including lost revenue or disputes between operators and locations, even if advised of the possibility. The portal reports what the machine reports; it does not replace your own collection procedures.

Trademarks

SAS is referenced descriptively to indicate compatibility with the industry accounting protocol. Glimera is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any protocol owner, machine manufacturer, or state lottery authority. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Georgia.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new date, and continued use after that date means you accept them.
